Why APIACOA?

The letters APIACOA are the initials of the words of the last sentence of the lyrics of the Radiohead song "Fitter Happier":

This website has been written using numerous free and open resources:

• the source files are written with GNU Emacs running under GNU/Linux and using org mode;
• the pre-html files produces by org mode are transformed into html files by Jekyll with some help from the i18n plugin jekyll-localization. Tag pages are generated by a slightly modified version of jekyll-tagging;
• the site style is based on twitter bootstrap (which in turn uses jQuery);
• software sources are styled using pygments with its default CSS;
• the 404 not found page is based on this idea;
• most of the pdf content is produced with LaTeX (of course!) and automatically compiled from source by John Collins's amazing latexmk;
• formulas are nicely displayed with the help of the extraordinary MathJax software;
• bibtex files are transformed into html pages by a home made java translator based on Johannes Henkel's javabib parser. I can provide the code, but it's highly specific to my needs (which explains why I'm not using a standard bib2html thing);
• flag icons are available from flags.blogpotato.de under a Creative Commons licence;
• the feed icon is from the Mozilla Foundation;
• others icons are from Glyphicons under a Creative Commons licence.
